independent living home where people age in place

What is Aging in Place?

Aging in place is the practice of making your home safe and secure so that you can continue living there as you grow older. Most older adults prefer to stay in their homes as opposed to moving into nursing or senior facilities. Simple accessibility features such as grab-bars, ADA compliant toilets, walk-in showers, or widened doorways can greatly reduce the risk of falls and make daily movements easier.

Who we are

Group of seven smiling people outdoors in front of a brick wall, including an elderly woman with gray hair, a middle-aged man and woman, and four younger women and men, one in a doctor's coat.

Founded by father and son, David and Sam Cooke, Indypendent Living was built on the belief that every person should have the ability to age safely and independently in their homes.
